200th Post EXTRAVAGANZA

That's right folks, you've stumbled upon Tulipa Murillo's 200th blog post. I've come a long way from posting only four times total in 2005, when I only had one child. Interestingly, it took me nearly 2 years to hit 100 posts last July! And here we are, just 9 months and 100 posts later! This time, instead of making a list, like I did for my 100th post, I've decided to announce the contest to end all contests.

And how does one enter?
Simply leave a comment on this post by midnight on Thursday, April 24th. That's right. It might not seem difficult to many of you, but to some of you it may be a big leap. If you check in here often, or even once in a while, consider leaving a comment to enter this contest! I'd love to hear from you and find out WHO you are. Thanks to sitemeter, I know WHERE you are and have some pretty good guesses as to WHO you are, as well!! As an option, when you leave your comment, include a favorite post that you've read here at Tulipa Murillo . That's just an option, however, not a requirement =). Also, if you have a blog of your own, feel free to pass on this contest to your own readers. The more the merrier, right?

And what might you win?
1. 3rd prize: 4 dozen +2 homemade (or 50) cookies made by me and my baking helpers. (4 winners, for a total of 200 cookies given away)
2. 2nd prize: 200 Hershey's kisses in the flavor(s) of your choice (1 winner)
3. Grand prize: 200 quarters (or a $50 gift certificate) to spend at Target (1 winner)

The winners will be chosen randomly and announced on Friday, April 25th; which also happens to be my sweet husband's 34th birthday!

Happy commenting!

CONGRATULATIONS on your 200th post! I have enjoyed getting to know you since we were both laying in our hospital beds! :)

My favorite post would be when you announced that Linus had arrived! I had been waiting and waiting to hear!

My official entry!
It's so hard to think of one favorite post...but something that comes to mind is one that you posted detailing a converstaion/playtime with your daughters and their role playing. It gave me a good laugh! Congrats on 200 posts!

Nancy---What a FUN giveaway! ALL such great prizes. Congratulations on 200 posts!!!

There are SO many posts I love from your blog. I think my favorites are posts where you reveal a piece of your heart (like the pregnancy posts). I also loved the ones where you explained how you chose your children's names and the wonderful heritage they have.

You are the first person that mentioned blogging to me. I had NO idea that I would someday join you in this crazy endeavor, but I am so glad we have been able to connect and get to know each other better this way. Miss you...we'll be home soon!

Here's to 200 more posts!

Definitely my favorite post(s) were the birth stories!!! I never tire of hearing people's birth stories! And it made me wish that I would take the time to record mine like you have done! It is a great idea! And then others get to enjoy the stories as well!

I don't know though...its hard to choose! I love all of your posts!
Keep blogging!

p.s. I passed 300 a while ago and I didn't know I was supposed to throw a party and give away prizes?!?! :)
No but really, You are the second of my friends to be doing this lately. (Although your prizes are better!) :)
That is AWFULLY nice of you to be giving away a $50 giftcard to Target! WOW!

I know that I am one of the people who look often and don't comment:)

Nancy!!!! 200 posts!!!!!& 3 kids! You are my hero. I love anything you share, but especially posts with pictures of the gang. Love to see how much the kids are changing. We keep saying we need to come visit so the kids can meet- maybe after the next baby comes! ]P.S. I blog because of your blog- you shared the address in your Christmas letter two years ago and I thought it was such a great idea, I decided to try it for myself. So, thank you for sharing your heart and giving me a way to keep in touch with family and friends!!

Hey girlie,
I actually kept your Christmas card, found it conveniently located near my keyboard, found time to type in your blog address AND put you on my favorite list. Talk about miracles!

I will have you know that you are totally living my life. The children are just perfect. Just know, from someone who is six years ahead of you, it only gets better.

And please......if I win, don't send me a thing. Knowing you for real, and not just in the blogosphere, and that you are happy and loving the Lord and your family is gift enough for me.

We love you,
K and J Bailey

i just went back and read your first four entries from 2005 (for something to do--since i don't have enough to do). isn't it funny to see how you felt as a first time mom and how you feel now, with three? our concerns change a little i think . . .

I am one of your readers who has never left a comment, mostly because I didn't know how! I probably enjoy seeing pictures of the kids most. It's amazing how quickly they grow and change! Thanks for sharing tidbits about your life with friends online!

Wahoo!!! 200 posts...that is amazing. Keep it up. My two favorite posts would have to be when you went all DaVinci Code on your readers to tell us you were pregnant...very cool! And also I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures of Violet and Amelie in SMCM gear--too cute! It's been fun keeping up with you guys.

As the subject in photos for future posts about a certain manequin, I feel obligated to comment for your 200th Post EXTRAVAGANZA.

I don't have a favorite post. I like them all. Especially the ones with pictures.
