When I was in first grade, I won a spelling bee with the word "picnic." It was a proud moment, I tell you, on the cafeteria stage at Tulip Grove Elementary back in 1983.
Flash forward 25 years (was it really that long ago?) to our very first backyard picnic of 2008. Friday's weather screamed for a little lunch al fresco. We gave in and enjoyed every minute of it. By the way, I'm still able to spell
